11 February to 20 February 2022
The City Corporation is working with the GLA and Artichoke to present City Lights, a free outdoor light show taking place across locations in the Square Mile.
Every night from 11 to 20 February (5pm to 10pm), a number of unique and historic City of London sites will be illuminated with vibrant and interactive artworks. This is a free, non-ticketed trail of lights suitable for all the family. The City of London is the only area in London to host this special event. Five incredible light and sound artworks to be enjoyed across the City of London:
- Imminence by Novak in St Paul’s Churchyard (North side, by Temple Bar)
- Harmonic Portals by Chris Plant at St Mary Aldermary Church
- Colour by Light by Floating Pictures in St Mary le Bow Churchyard Square
- Celestial Brainstorm by Amelia Kosminsky in Bloomberg Plaza
- Keys of Light by Mr Beam in Guildhall Yard*
(*please note that Keys of Light in Guildhall Yard will not be available to view on 16 and 17 February due to a high-profile event in at Guildhall)
City Lights is presented by the Mayor of London in partnership with the City of London Corporation, as part of the Spring into London season of the Mayor of London’s Let’s Do London campaign. City Lights aims to drive new footfall to neighbouring hospitality, retail, and cultural venues to support economic recovery.
